We are looking for a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to enhance our skilled team. This is a full-time, on-site role.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate dependable manufacturing processes to achieve company objectives for output and quality.
- Establish stable and proficient processes that align with manufacturing and quality standards.
- Implement best practices and a disciplined approach to process development.
- Investigate and innovate novel processes as designs progress.
- Lead the advancement of process engineering and ongoing improvements.
- Coordinate efforts with senior management and team leaders.
- Create process specifications and operational guidelines for product manufacturing.
- Assess process modifications and material interactions.
- Conduct process trials adhering to established protocols and documentation.
- Perform installation qualification of manufacturing equipment, operational qualification, and process validation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within Process Engineering in a manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience in qualifying manufacturing processes and transitioning them to production.
- Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies for process development.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and/or ISO 13485 manufacturing standards.
- Preferred experience in medical device manufacturing.
- Expertise in process and yield enhancement.
- Experience in managing a team of engineers and technicians.
- Knowledge of converting processes, including Roll to Roll Coating, Die Cutting, Placement, Alignment, Screen Printing, and Vision systems.
- Experience in process validation/verification and FMEA.
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Ability to apply chemical engineering principles to resolve specific production challenges.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for fostering positive relationships with colleagues involved in the production process.
- Advanced degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
Physical Requirements
- Specific vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods.
- Advanced fine motor skills.
- Capability to lift up to 30 lbs.
