Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct routine inspections on military vessels, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards.
  • Perform quality assurance evaluations on ongoing and completed projects, ensuring corrective measures are implemented.
  • Educate ship personnel on effective inactivation and preservation techniques for equipment and systems.
  • Oversee compartment closeout inspections in collaboration with ship personnel during decommissioning.
  • Assess equipment removals and maintenance work to guarantee quality and safety at job sites.
  • Utilize alarm systems and Remote Transmitter Unit (RTU) systems proficiently.
  • Familiarity with Service Craft and Boat Accounting Report/Craft and Boat Support System (SABBR/CBSS) and Maintenance Readiness (MR) systems.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in maritime operations on civilian or military vessels. Proficiency in MS Office applications is essential.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Associate degree or equivalent experience.
  • Certification as a Shipyard Competent Person.
  • Five (5) years of experience in ship maintenance inspections or relevant military inspection experience.
