Nuclear Electrical Inspector

This position is located in the Nuclear Inspection Division (Code 13- Training Branch) of PSNS and IMF. As a Nuclear Electrical Inspector (Ships), you will lead, mentor, and train subordinate inspectors in a positive and professional manner. You will ensure that personnel are sufficiently trained in the processes and responsibilities of nuclear quality control to certify that specifications are adhered to.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and train subordinate inspectors
- Ensure personnel are trained in nuclear quality control
- Coordinate priorities and deadlines with project and production personnel
- Identify and resolve problems as they arise
- Perform electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical processes and inspections
- Respond to NAVSEA precepts letters as supervisor for the Training Branch
- Coordinate work with other inspection supervisors
- Ensure financial parameters are met
- Carry out EEO policies and communicate support to subordinates

This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required. This position requires exposure to high noise levels. Temporary promotions may be extended up to 5 years at the discretion of management and in accordance with applicable regulations. Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be made permanent without further competition. Temporary actions taken under this announcement may be terminated at any time before the established not-to-exceed date.
