Security Access Control Specialist

Position: Unarmed Security Officer
Compensation: $18-20 per hour
Work Schedule: Various shifts including evenings and weekends
We are in search of a meticulous and dependable Unarmed Security Officer to oversee access control in a secure environment. The primary function of this role is to regulate entry into a designated area, ensuring that only authorized personnel gain access. The successful candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational capabilities, strong communication skills, and a dedication to upholding a safe atmosphere for both clients and staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee entry points, including gates and doors, to manage the movement of individuals and vehicles.
- Authenticate the identity of individuals requesting access by reviewing identification and credentials.
- Implement access control measures to deter unauthorized entry and safeguard the premises.
- Issue temporary access credentials to visitors and contractors, ensuring proper supervision.
- Maintain comprehensive records of access activities, including visitor logs and delivery documentation.
- Assist and guide visitors and employees regarding access procedures and requirements.
- Report any security breaches, safety concerns, or equipment issues to the appropriate authorities.
- Stay updated on security protocols and emergency procedures through continuous training.
- Possession of a valid BSIS Guard Card.
- Prior experience in security or access control is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately verify identification.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging professionally with diverse individuals.
- Ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with access control systems.
- Physical capability to stand or sit for extended periods and occasionally lift equipment.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Training in emergency response, CPR, or first aid.
- Experience with electronic access control systems.
- Certification in non-lethal defense techniques.
- Knowledge of security equipment usage.
