We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Inspector to join our Infrastructure team at Colliers Engineering & Design. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Perform quality control construction observations for various highway roadway and bridge construction, general site work, maintenance, and protection of traffic, drainage, earthwork, paving, concrete work, reinforcement steel placement, utility relocation work, coordination, and safety.
- Read and interpret contract documents and construction plans to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Monitor and track construction sequencing, cost, scheduling, and performance decisions to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of construction progress, including quality assurance documentation and project records.
- Ensure quality and uniformity in the records of various contracts in the overall program.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- NICET certification a plus.
- Bridge construction (rehabilitation & new) a plus.
- Knowledge of NJDOT road specifications a plus.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
