The Department of Veteran Affairs is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Practice Manager to lead our Primary Care team in East Portland/Fairview, Oregon. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and leading interdisciplinary patient care services within the Primary Care setting.
This is a 60% administration/management and 40% clinical (direct patient care) role, where you will work closely with the Nurse Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of the assigned practice group. You will be the first-line supervisor for physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants within that practice group.
We are looking for a Board-Certified Family Practice or Internal Medicine physician with demonstrated leadership and administrative capabilities. You must be strongly motivated in promoting appropriate staff education and development programs, and demonstrate a commitment to professional enrichment, merit promotion, equal employment opportunity, and positive labor relations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical and administrative background, with excellent communication skills. Academic experience is a plus, and opportunities for education and collaboration with our academic partner are possible.
As a Clinical Practice Manager, you will be responsible for:
