Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer to join our growing team. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for developing and executing test cases, providing technical and domain knowledge to peers, and ensuring the highest quality of our software products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute test plans for small to medium projects with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Follow established guidelines to execute test cases and analyze root cause defects.
  • Develop and modify test plans to adapt to changing project circumstances.
  • Document and execute test cases from approved test plans, project requirements, and design.
  • Develop Software Quality Assurance automation scripts aligned with test plans.
  • Perform Software Quality Assurance, including GUI, back-end, interface, batch, regression, automation execution, and performance testing.
  • Develop defect root cause analysis and verify defect fixes.
  • Create and review test data to support planned tests.
  • Update the Requirements Traceability Matrix.
  • Interact with other functional teams and provide Software Quality Assurance status updates to leadership.
  • Develop and provide input to test planning activities.
  • Develop test plans and other test documentation as related to specialty areas.
  • Proactively identify and escalate risks and issues to leadership and assist in developing solutions.
  • Assist in providing technical and functional knowledge to junior staff members and mentor junior staff members.
  • Demonstrate domain expertise and present test scenarios to clients.
  • Demonstrate strong knowledge of Software Quality Assurance methodologies, best practices, and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's degree with 7-11 years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
  • Preferred Majors: Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related field.
  • Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Software Quality Assurance life cycle (STLC).
  • Moderate back-end Software Quality Assurance experience.
  • Experience with fundamentals of programming.
  • Understanding of SharePoint applications, Webex, Skype, etc.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio, with a working knowledge of the rest of the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
  • Knowledge of defect management tools (such as Jira).
  • Knowledge and moderate understanding of Unix commands.
  • Knowledge of database tools (such as Oracle, SQL Server, TOAD).
  • Strong SQL skills.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $91,565/yr - $127,300/yr. Based on our compensation program, an applicant's position placement in the pay range will depend on various considerations, such as years of applicable experience and skill level.
