Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Principal Hardware Systems Engineer to work in our small, fast-paced team within a large organization, working across internal and external partners to deliver innovative, leadership products that solve our enterprise customer's problems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, design, evaluate, and/or modify rugged tablet and point of sale systems with a focus on Android and Microsoft Windows products.
  • Develop system architecture and ensure the integrity of the architecture/design consistent with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead technology roadmap process and recommend project approach and goals.
  • Champion new thinking and creativity in team members to cultivate and retain top talent.
  • Prioritize quality and seek out improvements in all aspects of the projects.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or Master's in an engineering (electrical, mechanical, computer science) discipline required.
  • Bachelor's degree and 9+ years' experience or Master's degree and 6+ years' experience required.
  • Hardware development experience with Android and Windows based-computer systems required.
  • Knowledge of hardware architectures such as CPU, Memory, Storage, Power Management, and subsystems such as batteries, wireless displays, etc. required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Mobile product development experience highly preferred.
  • Rugged enterprise products experience highly preferred.
  • Experience with product performance benchmarking and testing preferred.
About the Role

This is a hybrid role in our Austin, TX office. 3-days in the office. Salary: USD USD Yearly. Salary offered will vary depending on your location, job-related skills, knowledge, and experience.
