Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician II to join our team at Elbit Systems of America. This is a hands-on engineering technician position that requires proficiency in the use of hand and machine tools, precision gauges, test instruments, and process equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily operations and maintenance of manufacturing equipment/processes for manufacture of night vision image intensifiers.
  • Build and repair mechanical tooling, and disposition non-conforming product.
  • Optimize manufacturing processes, implement cost reduction opportunities, and train production employees to improve work processes and product quality.
  • Minimize or eliminate safety, quality, delivery, inventory, and production issues.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in an Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, etc.) or related work experience.
  • 2+ years of technical experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical abilities and trouble-shooting techniques.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • PC proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team.
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Experience training others.
  • Ability to obtain Security Clearance.
  • Must be able to comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations, Company Policies and Procedures.
  • Able to work an off-shift schedule.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with assembly/review/inspection of mechanical assemblies.
  • Experience with ultra-high vacuum equipment.
  • Experience working in cleanroom environments.
  • Experience writing MS Access queries.
  • Experience with statistical analysis software: Minitab, JMP, Cornerstone, etc.
  • Experience with coding and scripting development: Visual Studio, C#, C+, etc.), Python, JSL (JMP scripting language), or similar.
  • Experience with process improvement.
  • Six Sigma certification (Yellow, Green, Black Belt).
Work Schedule

The successful candidate will work a rotating shift schedule, including Friday-Sunday days (6am-6pm) with the opportunity to work an additional 4 hours on Monday or Thursday.
