About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Pharmacy Technician II to join our team at Carilion Clinic. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist pharmacists in providing pharmaceutical care to patients, including preparing and dispensing medications, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a clean and organized work environment, adhering to regulatory standards and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest pharmacy practices and technologies.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; successful completion of an approved pharmacy technician training program preferred.
  • Registration with the Virginia Department of Health Professionals required; nationally certified pharmacy technician certification within 9 months of hire.
  • Previous pharmacy experience preferred; one year of pharmacy experience required for Registrar I.
