We are in search of an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer who possesses expertise in the design of Military Standard Electro-Optical Systems, with a particular emphasis on enclosure and environmental design. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in mechanical engineering and a keen interest in creating robust enclosures for Electro-Optical systems utilized in military settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the mechanical design and development of Military Standard Electro-Optical Systems, focusing on enclosure design and environmental safeguarding.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers and interdisciplinary teams to comprehend system requirements pertinent to enclosure design and environmental durability.
  • Develop comprehensive designs, drawings, and specifications for rugged enclosures and system components utilizing CAD software.
  • Engage in environmental assessments and testing to ensure adherence to military specifications.
  • Contribute to innovative approaches for thermal management, shock and vibration reduction, and electromagnetic interference shielding.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners for the fabrication, testing, and production of enclosure components.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to team members.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of a Secret Clearance with the capability to obtain and maintain TS/SCI.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, particularly with Military Standard Electro-Optical Systems.
  • Proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or Pro/ENGINEER.
  • Knowledge of mechanical design principles, materials, and manufacturing techniques.
  • Interest in environmental testing standards, including thermal, shock, vibration, and electromagnetic interference testing.
  • Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25% as required.

Compensation:

$140,000 - $160,000 annually
