Role Summary:
We are currently seeking a full-time Mechanical Facilities Engineer to join our team. This role will primarily involve the design, construction, and management of facility projects associated with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert Mechanical Engineering oversight for facility projects, ensuring user requirements are thoroughly documented and integrated into secure workplace designs.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments for projects and maintain detailed records of engineering and project management data.
  • Perform on-site observations during construction phases to ensure compliance with established plans.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to seamlessly integrate mechanical and electrical systems into final designs that meet customer objectives and security standards.
  • Evaluate cost estimates and provide financial assessments for proposed projects.
  • Manage project schedules and conduct design reviews, including the preparation of drawings, specifications, and documentation.
  • Interpret relevant codes, standards, and regulations while ensuring adherence to security requirements.
  • Document meeting minutes and perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI US Government Security Clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in both private sector and government projects.
  • Experience briefing military and government councils.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel, along with familiarity with internet browsers and email.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to evolving challenges.

Desired Skills:
  • Knowledge of cross-functional engineering disciplines, including electrical systems, is advantageous.
  • Experience managing Mechanical Engineering projects across various sectors.
