Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Biomedical Technician to join our team at Providence Swedish. As a Biomedical Technician, you will be responsible for performing complex work involving medical equipment and systems. You will be considered an expert in the operation of specialized test equipment, schematic reading, and technical manuals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, disassemble, and fabricate moderately complex electronic and electro-mechanical devices.
  • Choose the most cost and time effective equipment repair method, either component or circuit board level repair.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and safety testing of medical equipment.
  • Work independently with minimal direct supervision.
  • Document all work in accordance with departmental policies.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
  • Several specialized training courses on servicing certain medical devices or systems.
  • Ten or more years of experience repairing, servicing, and fabricating a variety of medical electronic devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Biomedical Technician certification.
