About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Bode, a leading multifamily development firm in the Seattle area. As a Heavy Equipment Operator, you will play a critical role in the success of our construction projects, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of heavy machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Heavy Machinery: Safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment such as excavators, bulldozers, graders, loaders, and compactors to perform tasks like digging, grading, leveling, and compacting surfaces.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe work environment for yourself and others on the construction site.
  • Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport materials using appropriate equipment, such as moving soil, rocks, and construction materials.
  • Site Preparation: Assist in site preparation activities, including clearing land, excavating trenches, and preparing the ground for construction and utility installation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other team members, supervisors, and contractors to ensure efficient workflow, coordination, and completion of the project.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and any incidents or accidents that occur on the job site.
Requirements
  • 5 Years of Experience: Heavy equipment operators with 5 years of experience in road construction, building infrastructure, excavation, land development, and utility installation.
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, with good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
  • Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
