Overview

The Department of Corrections is a dynamic organization dedicated to public safety through custody and supervision. As an Electronics Technician Security Senior, you will have the opportunity to positively impact lives by working in a variety of fields.

Job Summary

This role involves maintaining, repairing, and calibrating electronic systems and equipment for correctional institutions. You will also plan and install new security systems, including modifications and expansions of existing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair electronic systems and equipment
  • Plan and install new security systems
  • Modify and expand existing systems as needed
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have knowledge of advanced electronic security hardware installation and repair, computer and security-related electronic systems, and test equipment such as test sources, meters, and oscilloscopes. You should also be able to work effectively with contractors, consultants, engineers, and staff.

Qualifications
  • Degree in electronics or related field
  • Experience in electronic security systems installation and repair
  • Knowledge of computer and security-related electronic systems
  • Ability to work effectively with team members
