Associate Director, Capacity Building Assistance

Health Resources in Action (HRiA) is a non-profit organization dedicated to improving public health and advancing health equity. We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Director to join our Capacity Building Assistance (CBA) team.
About the RoleThe Associate Director will lead the Project Build Up (PBU) program, a grantmaking initiative that builds workforce capacity among problem gambling outpatient treatment providers in Massachusetts. This role will also oversee quality improvement activities for PBU and the Massachusetts Technical Assistance Center for Problem Gambling Treatment (M-TAC).
Key Responsibilities- Develop and lead the PBU grantmaking program, including conceptualization, design, and implementation.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Manage quality improvement activities, including documentation and reporting.
- Supervise and mentor junior staff, conduct performance reviews, and develop professional development plans.
- Participate in team and leadership meetings, and contribute to organizational growth and development.
- At least five years of experience in program and team management, with a focus on capacity building assistance, grantmaking, and/or quality improvement.
- Master's degree in public health, business administration, management, or a related field.
- Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to think strategically and creatively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
HRiA offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $85,000, depending on experience and skills. We also offer a dynamic and supportive work environment, with opportunities for professional growth and development.
