Civil Engineer (P.E.) - Public Works Job Description

Halff Associates is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer (P.E.) to join our Public Works team in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of public and private infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage design and plan production, including roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, and civil site work.
  • Supervise technical staff and manage clients through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
  • Develop and implement project plans, budgets, and schedules to ensure timely completion and quality results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address project risks and opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or ABET-accredited equivalent.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design.
  • Strong design experience and project management skills.
  • Experience with MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
