We are a team of creative problem-solvers and thinkers looking for a highly motivated, responsible individual to work on civil land development projects in our Dallas-Fort Worth office.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Civil Project Engineer with 5+ years of local engineering experience working with Dallas, Fort Worth, or other central Texas municipalities and private developers. As a Civil Project Engineer, you will assist the team with delivery on a variety of projects, including design and coordination with in-house teams, clients, and municipalities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop drainage studies and reports, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, designs and drawings according to client specifications and project manager direction
  • Produce engineering plan sets, specifications, and submit documentation packages while following HKS standard operating procedures and applicable local, state, and federal requirements
  • Quality check all work and work of other designers to ensure complete and accurate plans are provided to engineers

Requirements

  • 5+ years of site design experience, local experience required
  • Texas PE (or ability to acquire license) required
  • Advanced experience designing grading and drainage plans, detention and water quality ponds, open channels, closed conduit storm sewer, stormwater handling features, utility improvements, pipe networks, and cross-sections and profiles required
  • Advanced ability in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Proficiency with Hydrologic and Hydraulic Modeling software (HEC-RAS, SWMM, CUHP)

Pay Range:

$100,000 - $130,000 per year

Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.
