About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team at Huitt-Zollars. As a key member of our design team, you will work collaboratively with project managers and engineers to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Attend design meetings with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop and maintain professional technical expertise and knowledge necessary to fulfill the experience requirement for licensure as a Professional Engineer.
  • Prepare construction plans for private and public development projects, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist the design team and project managers with all aspects of land development design, including research and materials selection.
  • Conduct site visits, review shop drawings, and respond to RFIs to ensure project progress and quality.
  • Prepare due diligence reports, quantity take-offs, and opinions of probable construction cost to support project proposals.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (BSCE) from an accredited institution.
  • 2-5 years of related experience, with a strong understanding of civil engineering principles and practices.
  • Passed the Fundamentals of Engineering Exam and on path to obtaining Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D, with strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks.
