Civil Engineer (P.E.) - Public Works

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Civil Engineer (P.E.) to join our Public Works team in Fort Worth, TX. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the design and construction of public and private infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, civil site work, and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage design and plan production as well as manage clients and supervise technical staff through workshare opportunities with various practices and offices at Halff.
  • Oversee the design and construction of public and private infrastructure projects, including roadways, drainage systems, water and wastewater pipelines, civil site work, and associated civil improvements in land development as well as public parks and trails facilities.
  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion of projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or ABET accredited equivalent Engineering degree.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License in Texas.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of experience in public works, municipal roadway, drainage, detention, water/wastewater utility design, and/or utilities design.
  • Strong design experience and project manager skills.
  • Experience in MicroStation or AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A positive attitude, be self-directed yet a team player, and have a focus on quality, integrity, and success.
