Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to provide patient care on a supplemental basis to our client facilities. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering safe, quality patient care and exercising sound professional judgment and skills in the performance of assigned duties.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine nursing care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Provide patient and family teaching, ensuring that patients and their families understand their care plans and are empowered to take an active role in their health.
  • Assist physicians with patients, including taking vital signs, conducting physical exams, and documenting patient information.
  • Accurately give and receive report on patient status, ensuring seamless communication with other healthcare professionals.
  • Monitor patient per facility protocol and patient needs, identifying and acting on changes in patient status.
  • Institute comfort and safety measures for patients, including providing emotional support and promoting a safe and comfortable environment.
  • Provide age-specific care to all patients, taking into account their unique needs and circumstances.
  • Provide patient care with a sensitivity to cultural diversity of patient population, respecting and valuing the differences that make each patient unique.
  • Perform nursing procedures in compliance with the facilities' policies and procedures, adhering to established standards of care.
  • Consistently practice standard precautions, adhering to hospital policies for handling, labeling, and disposal of biohazardous materials.
  • Adhere to Joint Commission professional standards and incorporate the National Patient Safety Goals into current practice.
Requirements
  • Must have a current RN license in the appropriate state/s and current CPR/BLS certification.
  • Must have a minimum of two years of experience as a Registered Nurse, with a focus on telehealth and medical-surgical nursing.
  • Must be competent in rhythm identification and have experience with Cerner charting.
  • Must have a strong command of the English language and be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Must be able to work in a stressful environment and have consistent attendance to ensure that client facilities' needs and patients' needs are met.
