Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated educator to join our team as a 3rd-5th Grade Multi-Age Classroom Educator. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters academic excellence and social growth in our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement a comprehensive program of instruction that aligns with the school's theme and APS Board of Education goals and objectives.
  • Parent Engagement: Coordinate parent advisory activities and parent education workshops to promote parental involvement and support.
  • Curriculum Planning: Plan and implement a program of study that integrates student voice and choice with State Department of Education Standards, school-wide theme objectives, and APS Board of Education goals and objectives.
  • Classroom Management: Establish and maintain standards of appropriate student behavior and discipline to achieve a vibrant learning atmosphere in the classroom.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring: Evaluate and communicate the learning progress of students on a regular basis, and provide progress reports as required.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Establish and maintain open lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Certification: Current New Mexico teaching certificate in specified field.
  • Endorsements: Current endorsements dependent upon specific positions may be required.

  • Effective Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
  • Flexibility and Organization: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with diverse populations, including students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of District Policies: Knowledge of APS community, computer system, financial procedures, and legal requirements.
