Assistant Controller

At AmeriPro Health, we are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join our finance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the monthly financial close process, including reviewing and preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the monthly financial close process, including reviewing and preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses.
- Mentor and train junior members of the accounting team.
- Identify opportunities to streamline the month-end financial close process.
- Review and approve the coding of accounts payable invoices.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly cash flow projections.
- Partner with business development to prepare proforma financials to support proposals for new contracts.
- Prepare monthly reporting packages to be distributed to management.
- Partner with the controller to coordinate the annual financial audit, including the preparation of schedules, timely responses to auditor requests, and drafting of financial statements and financial note disclosures.
- Partner with the finance team in developing annual budgets.
- Assist with the design and implementation of new ERP solutions.
Requirements:
- 5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting.
- Accounting experience in healthcare preferred.
- Excellent technical writing and presentation skills.
- Experience with ERP implementation preferred.
- Advanced experience working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, etc.).
- Proven track record of improving accounting processes, tools, and technology.
- Strong leadership and management abilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines.
