Job Title: Neighborhood Services Officer/Stormwater Inspector

Join our team at Greenwood Village CO Defunct as a Neighborhood Services Officer/Stormwater Inspector in the Community Development Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the City's zoning, subdivision, grading, and drainage codes are followed.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct field investigations and inspections to identify code violations and ensure compliance with City regulations.
  • Investigate complaints and respond to inquiries from residents, property owners, and contractors regarding zoning, subdivision, grading, and drainage code violations.
  • Provide information and education to the public on City codes and regulations, and assist in the prosecution of code enforcement cases.
  • Collaborate with other City departments and staff to ensure effective code enforcement and community development.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining accurate records and submitting reports.
Requirements:
  • One year of increasingly responsible work experience as a code enforcement officer or related field.
  • Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain and maintain, CCIC/NCIC Certification through the Colorado Bureau of Investigation within 6 months of hire.
  • Certification as a Certified Code Enforcement Officer (CCEO) through the Colorado Association of Code Enforcement Officials within 12 months of hire.
  • Certification as a Stormwater Inspector (CSI) through the National Stormwater Center within 12 months of hire.
Working Conditions:

This position requires extensive outdoor exposure to dust, dirt, and other environmental hazards.
