Key Responsibilities:

  1. Uphold the organization's mission and strategic objectives while ensuring a client-focused approach to service delivery and operational excellence.
  2. Possess a comprehensive understanding of refugee service contracts to facilitate the successful resettlement of refugee families. Provide direct case management and support to clients navigating state and local systems.
  3. Develop individualized Self-Sufficiency Plans for refugee clients, outlining strategies and timelines to achieve stability and independence.
  4. Assess client needs and make appropriate referrals to internal and external resources, addressing various aspects such as housing, health, finances, and employment.
  5. Collaborate with the Employment Specialist to provide guidance on financial responsibilities, budgeting, and planning.
  6. Work closely with other teams and community stakeholders to ensure timely access to core services for refugees.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant programs and guidelines, demonstrating expertise in client service delivery systems.

Core Services:
  1. Provide cultural orientation and essential information to newly arrived clients regarding their rights and available services.
  2. Facilitate interpretation and transportation services as needed.
  3. Assist clients with applications for social security, health screenings, and school enrollments.
  4. Ensure timely implementation of all required core services.
  5. Offer extended case management for clients with special considerations, such as minors and single-parent households.

Program Leadership:
  1. Demonstrate problem-solving skills in complex cases and facilitate training sessions for team members.
  2. Conduct intake assessments for clients and provide them with an overview of available services.
  3. Stay informed about current refugee and immigrant issues to better serve clients.
  4. Represent the organization at relevant community events and engagements.

Documentation and Reporting:
  1. Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in required databases.
  2. Ensure all client information is documented for reporting purposes.
  3. Conduct cultural orientation assessments during home visits.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in social work, psychology, sociology, or a related field is preferred. Equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Must possess a valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and clear background checks.
  • Ability to work independently and travel as needed.
  • Bilingual skills are preferred.

Physical Demands:
  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods and communicate effectively.
  • Must be able to lift and move items as required.
