Advaita Health Ventures, LLC is a leading integrated care practice that provides comprehensive psychiatric care, medication management, and therapy for individuals dealing with mental health disorders, substance use, and addiction. Our team of experts serves adults in the Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill area and provides virtual care throughout North Carolina.

Role Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider will work closely with our medical director to provide direct medical care, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, health assessments, and physicals. This role requires collaboration with our clinical team to provide patient assessment and diagnosis, formulate treatment plans, prescribe medications, and refer patients for higher levels of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide integrated patient care in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession.
  • Conduct health services such as assessments, evaluations, medication management, education, counseling, and emotional support.
  • Develop patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment plans in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director, other clinical staff, administrative staff, and outside resources as needed to provide excellent integrated care.
  • Provide health services, education, counseling, and emotional support.
  • Refer patients for higher levels of care such as inpatient care as necessary.
  • Dispense medication prescriptions in accordance with treatment guidelines.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to order lab testing.
  • Interpret and explain test results to patients.
  • Provide patient education regarding medications, risks, benefits, and reasonable outcome expectations.
  • Communicate with patients and engage in follow-up as necessary to provide excellent integrated care.
  • May also provide primary medical care services as indicated, in accordance with statutes, regulations, and protocols regulating the profession.
  • Perform similar or related duties as assigned or required.
  • Strive to practice evidence-based medicine and remain up to date with developments within their field of practice.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies from an accredited college or university.
  • Three (3) years of experience related to the above-described duties.
  • Must be licensed in the state of North Carolina.
  • Ability to pass Advaita Health Ventures, LLC's background check/drug screen.
  • Negative TB screen.

  • Ability to provide excellent integrated medical care to patients.
  • Proficient in the English language, both in writing and speaking, to communicate clearly with all stakeholders, including patients, families, clinic staff, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Possess a strong understanding of societies and their impact on mental health; ability to solve problems, monitor, and examine patients.
  • Be compassionate, sensitive, and possess strong reasoning and thinking skills.
  • Experience in conducting clinical assessments used to preliminarily determine ASAM criteria levels of care.
  • Understanding of business functions: HR, finance, operations, marketing.
  • Competency in planning and business development.
  • Excellent organization and leadership abilities.
  • Competency with Microsoft 365 and other Advaita Health Ventures, LLC technology platforms.
