About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Provider to join our team at Duke Health's Gastroenterology department in Raleigh, NC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical care to adult patients with gastrointestinal conditions in both hospital and outpatient settings.
  • Record patient histories, perform physical examinations, and establish treatment plans in collaboration with physicians.
  • Prescribe medications, order lab tests, and coordinate patient care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Document patient encounters and communicate with referring teams in a timely manner.
  • Participate in educational events, such as GI Grand Rounds, to stay up-to-date on the latest medical knowledge and best practices.
Requirements
  • Nurse Practitioners: Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited program, current RN licensure in NC, and national certification as a NP.
  • Physician Assistants: Completion of an accredited PA program, licensure in NC, and certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.
  • 1-2 years of gastroenterology experience preferred.
