Position Overview

Adelphi Medical Staffing, LLC is in search of skilled Wound Care Physicians to deliver specialized wound care services and address various aspects of skin integrity at a designated facility.

The Wound Care Physician will work in conjunction with primary care providers and nursing personnel to guarantee thorough wound management and achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Must possess a full/active MD license.
  • At least three years of relevant experience.
  • An active unrestricted Texas license is required.
  • Board Certification is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct visits to the facility to assess individuals and provide specialized treatment while collaborating with the facility's primary care providers and nursing staff for effective wound care management.
  • Manage various types of wounds including pressure ulcers, infectious wounds, and injuries that have not improved with primary care management.
  • Deliver services promptly and as necessary for the health and welfare of patients.
  • Evaluate patients on a weekly basis or as required.
  • Adhere to the standards set by the facility's Medical Director.
  • Provide high-quality wound care services to individuals with intellectual disabilities in accordance with accepted medical practices.
  • Maintain knowledge of methods and procedures in general medicine and the principles of developing, implementing, and documenting individualized care and treatment plans.
  • Exhibit proficiency in the care and treatment of patients and in the application of medical diagnostics and wound care services.
  • Document progress notes including assessments and plans for each patient evaluated for review.
  • Maintain a log sheet for each service performed.
