We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Director to join our team at AssuredPartners. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing tax strategies to optimize our global tax position, overseeing US foreign tax reporting, and managing tax technology platforms.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize our global tax position, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
- Oversee US foreign tax reporting, including research and evaluation of our past, current, and potential international tax positions and consequences.
- Manage tax technology platforms, including implementing and managing tax provision software, evaluating and suggesting technology enhancements or applications to increase efficiency and effectiveness, and collaborating with and managing vendor relationships.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting and compliance, including managing the transfer pricing reporting documentation through an external advisor.
- Coach, develop, and supervise team members, including Tax Accountants and Senior Tax Accountants.
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, assessing their impact on the company and making recommendations for adjustments to tax strategies as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in corporate tax, with a focus on international tax and including experience with tax provision software and public company tax reporting.
- Strong knowledge of international tax regulations and reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Experience in a leadership role, with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- IT-Tax experience to handle software, vendor management, troubleshooting, and triage.
