Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct restorative care and delegated therapy tasks, including PROM and active ROM, ambulating, special positioning techniques, splints, assistive feeding devices/adaptive equipment, ADL training, bowel and bladder management, restorative dining, and bladder retraining.
  • Monitor and keep track of changes in residents and patients under restorative nursing care, and accurately document as required.
  • Assist patients with hygiene, elimination, routine skin care, comfort measures, and other Activities of Daily Living (ADL), maintaining patient privacy and respect at all times.
  • Assume responsibility for maintaining a clean and safe environment, ensuring Infection Control procedures and HIPAA compliance.
  • Actively engage in caring behaviors, taking conscious ownership for work and taking proactive, deliberate, and thoughtful actions regarding work activities.
Requirements
  • Minimum Education: None.
  • Minimum Experience: Six (6) months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant required.
  • Understanding of basic medical terminology.
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
  • Bilingual skills to communicate effectively with patients and families preferred.
Certifications/Licenses
  • Certified Nursing Assistant and Restorative Nursing Assistant Certification required.
  • AHA Basic Life Support required.
  • Hospital Fire and Life Safety Card (Los Angeles City Employees only) required.
