Job Summary:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides high-quality patient care in the Medical/Surgical and Orthopedic unit. This role assists licensed staff in the provision of basic nursing care, ensuring safe and effective care. The CNA demonstrates the necessary skills to meet the needs of patients served in the Medical/Surgical/Orthopedic unit through support of the nursing process; collects patient care data, reports findings, and assists the team to meet patient care goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Provides consistently exceptional care at all times.
Responds to the needs of the department by performing other duties, as necessary.
Assists the care team by collecting patient care data at designated intervals on all assigned patients. Reports findings to licensed staff.
Recognizes and accurately reports relevant patient information to licensed staff.
Utilizes time, equipment, and supplies in an efficient manner. Completes all assigned duties during designated shift.

Requirements:

Completion of nursing assistant program
Previous nursing assistance experience and/or completion of nursing assistant program required
Current CPR/BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider) or ability to obtain prior to start date
Current CA Nursing Assistant Certification or provide proof of passing California certification process prior to start date

Education and Experience:

Completion of nursing assistant program
Previous nursing assistance experience and/or completion of nursing assistant program required
