Solar Project Executive Lead

The Solar Project Executive Lead will be responsible for overseeing the management of solar projects ranging from $15 – $49 million in size.
This role involves providing strategic direction, ensuring project completion, and achieving financial objectives within established budget constraints.
The position is based in Amarillo, TX, with one week of remote work. It entails managing the construction of mechanical scopes on large-scale solar projects up to 500MW.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Management: Accurately forecast project revenue and costs to meet corporate profitability goals.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with estimators and project controls to establish project budgets.
- Estimating Leadership: Lead estimating efforts on vertically integrated projects to ensure accurate and consistent bid-to-build processes.
- Resource Management: Coordinate with estimators, project sponsors, and construction managers to manage resources and meet project schedules.
- Bid Review: Participate in bid review and closing to ensure bid accuracy and evaluate project feasibility.
- Project Planning: Develop comprehensive plans for project start-up and successful kick-off with stakeholders.
- Communication: Foster dynamic project communication between project engineers, foremen, superintendents, and construction managers to ensure efficient, profitable, and safe project delivery.
- Job Controls: Ensure proper job controls, including quantities, costs, revenue, and schedule.
- Relationship Management: Establish and maintain working relationships with owners, agencies, subcontractors, corporate management, inspectors, and other stakeholders to provide excellent customer service.
- Performance Monitoring: Ensure accurate construction reports for the job, enabling continuous improvement in performance.
- Profitability: Run projects at profitability levels to meet or exceed expected margins.
- Education: BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Work Experience: Five+ years of progressive project experience in the solar industry or civil construction, with 5+ years of experience in mechanical scope oversight within the private sector.
- Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of large-scale solar construction, union agreements, and prevailing wage issues; ability to work in a high-production environment; decision-making skills; leadership skills; supervisory communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to abide by Granite's Code of Conduct; team player.
The salary for this position ranges from $103,835.00 to $155,752.00 per year, depending on relevant experience, skills, location, and education. Benefits may vary for positions located outside the continental United States.

Salaried employees may choose from two PPO medical plans through Anthem BlueCross, with 100% of the premium paid by Granite for eligible employees and dependents. Employees can also opt into a Health Savings Account (HSA) or a Flexible Spending Account (FSA).
Granite provides a 100% match on the first 6% of eligible compensation that salaried employees defer into their 401(k) plans, which vests immediately.
