Senior Advanced Practice Provider

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our team in the Division of Emergency Medicine at UAB Hospital. As an APP, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and treatment in the emergency department, evaluating critically ill patients, performing procedures within defined scope of practice, and coordinating patient care. You will work closely with our interdisciplinary team to provide excellent patient outcomes and experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive patient care plans focused on surgical interventions
- Ensure thorough documentation of patient assessments, patient care plans, and care provided
- Order and interpret laboratory and other diagnostic tests for patients
- Maintain accurate records and reports as required by regulatory agencies and The Joint Commission (TJC)
- Provide support in orienting and training new clinical personnel as needed
- Serve as an expert clinical resource to clinical staff and patients in the area of specialty

Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Nursing with an Acute Care NP or Family NP certification or graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program
- Current certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) with Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP) Specialty by the Alabama Board of Nursing or licensure as a Physician Assistant by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners with certification as a Physician Assistant (PA-C) by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
