Position Overview:


Collaborates with the GPA Director of Quality/Regulatory to oversee and manage the resources, training, auditing, and corrective action strategies necessary to achieve regulatory compliance and accreditation goals within the Quality Management System of GPA Carle Health, Hospitals, Behavioral Health, and relevant entities within the GPA Carle Physician Group (CPG).

Works alongside leadership, medical personnel, nursing teams, and ancillary departments to enhance their comprehension and accountability regarding regulatory compliance.

Facilitates the creation of policies, procedures, and strategies to guarantee adherence to federal and state regulatory mandates.

Systematically evaluates, monitors, and promotes enhancements in processes that influence the quality of patient care, ensuring compliance with acute care hospital standards and critical access hospital standards.


Qualifications:

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND
Associate's Degree in any healthcare discipline.

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE
Basic Certificate in Quality & Safety (IHI) within one year of employment.

EXPERIENCE
A minimum of three years of recent experience in preparing for and coordinating Accrediting Organization requirements in a hospital environment.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Understanding of continuous quality improvement theories and statistics, alongside a solid grasp of nursing clinical processes and patient safety principles.

Strong interpersonal, leadership, teamwork, management, and communication skills. Ability to facilitate diverse groups and teams. Extensive knowledge of Accrediting Organization standards and requirements. Proficient in analyzing, interpreting, and presenting data. Excellent organizational and advanced presentation skills. Familiarity with quality improvement tools and techniques.

Proficient in a Windows environment, including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to quickly adapt to any necessary software programs for the role.
