We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Cafeteria Hostess/Recess Monitor to join our team at Putnam City Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to students and staff, ensuring a safe and enjoyable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist students through the serving line and direct them to assigned tables as advised by the principal.
  • Circulate among tables during meal periods to assist students as needed and wipe tables after each use.
  • Inform designated school personnel of any disciplinary problems caused by students.
  • Replenish and clean condiment areas as needed.
  • Organize students for the orderly disposal of trays and utensils at the conclusion of the meal.
  • Learn and follow all national, state, and school district policies and programs, as well as health department regulations.
  • Perform additional food service worker-related jobs as assigned by a supervisor.
Requirements
  • Able to read, speak, and comprehend basic English.
  • High School Degree.
Working Conditions

This is a nine-month position with a salary to be established by the Board of Education. Performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy.
