Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified Certified Medication Aide to join our team at Orchard at Brookhaven. As a Medication Aide, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our residents by administering prescribed medications and providing personal care services.


About the Position

This is a full-time position that requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will have a strong background in healthcare, a high school diploma or equivalent, and certification as a Medication Aide in Georgia.


Responsibilities
  • Administer prescribed medications to residents under the direction of the Health and Wellbeing Director
  • Provide personal care services to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist residents with daily activities, such as eating, toileting, and ambulation
  • Document resident care and medication administration in accordance with company policies and procedures
  • Participate in training and education programs to maintain certification and enhance job performance

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Certification as a Medication Aide in Georgia
  • 1-2 years experience working in a healthcare setting
  • Ability to lift 25 pounds or more, stand for long periods, and bend, stoop, squat, and twist repeatedly throughout the day

Work Environment

This position requires working in a healthcare setting, with possible exposure to communicable diseases, skin contact with solvents or other chemicals, and exposure to medical equipment with the risk of lacerations or punctures.
