Job Description
- Assist qualified donors in completing the screening process, which includes assessing self-administered health history, answering medical questions, and performing health screening procedures such as blood pressure and temperature checks.
- Educate new donors on the use of therapeutic products made from donated plasma, including explaining the screening process and health screening tests.
- Register applicants and transfer donors based on completion of appropriate training and operational needs.
- Answer phone calls and respond to donor inquiries or transfer calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain alertness and awareness of any reactions by donors during or after the pheresis process and notify appropriate staff.
- Ensure accurate recording of donor data in the electronic donor information management system.
- Understand policies and procedures associated with hyper-immune programs at the center, if applicable.
- Maintain a clean and efficient work environment and ensure sufficient operating supplies and forms are available.
- Promote safety in all actions and maintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center information.
Salary Range
$40,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience.
