Salary

The estimated hourly wage range for this position is $23.85 - $32.79, reflecting a competitive compensation package that includes short-term incentives and comprehensive benefits.

Job Description

As a Medical Support Specialist at BioLife Plasma Services, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient collection of plasma from donors. Your responsibilities will include determining donor eligibility, managing adverse events, reviewing laboratory test results, and notifying donors of unsuitable test results.

You will also be responsible for evaluating donor reactions, following applicable Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and referring to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs as needed. Additionally, you will support the Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A high school diploma or equivalent, including a graduate-level educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Current licensure or certification in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfillment of state requirements (in the state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactory completion of FDA-approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialists.
  • Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.
