Role Summary:
The Junior Brand Marketing Specialist is instrumental in shaping and executing our consumer marketing initiatives. This role requires strong project management capabilities, allowing for independent handling of projects at various stages. Adaptability is key, as strategies may need to be adjusted based on shifting priorities and operational directives.
Reporting Structure:
This position reports directly to the Senior Brand Manager and collaborates with upper management to propel strategic projects and implement marketing strategies that align with our rapid business growth. The role serves as a vital link among sales, finance, operations, and our internal creative teams.
Work Environment:
We embrace a hybrid work model, with in-office presence required for part of the week and remote work options available.
- Oversee segments of the annual brand strategy process and ensure effective execution of marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with our in-house creative team to develop innovative marketing, media, and public relations strategies.
- Prepare detailed briefs and provide constructive feedback to the creative agency.
- Assist in crafting presentations for senior management, utilizing compelling storytelling techniques.
- Analyze brand performance and market trends using various data sources to track success metrics.
- Work cross-functionally with sales and trade teams to deliver creative and analytical support.
- Manage ongoing updates to packaging and point-of-sale materials, coordinating closely with production and development teams.
- Oversee marketing budgets, including tracking expenses and processing invoices.
- Stay informed on competitive landscape and market trends to inform brand strategy.
- Represent the brand at trade shows and events, engaging with potential customers.
- Coordinate packaging updates from concept to market launch.
- Develop point-of-sale materials in collaboration with sales and creative teams.
- 4+ years of relevant marketing experience or an MBA with 2-3 years of work experience.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related discipline.
- Experience in consumer packaged goods (CPG) is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with syndicated data, preferably IRI or ACNielsen.
- Proficient in developing marketing collateral, including packaging and promotional materials.
- Strong skills in Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Understanding of eCommerce, advertising, promotions, and merchandising.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and exhibit intellectual curiosity.
- Strong analytical skills to provide data-driven insights.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, including experience with creative briefs.
- Proven project management abilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
- Strong interpersonal skills to foster cross-departmental collaboration.
