Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Operations Supervisor for Railcar Repair to join our team at the Blair, Nebraska location. As an Operations Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of our railcar repair services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety protocols to protect employees and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Train and guide employees on railcar repairs and maintenance procedures.
  • Monitor and optimize employee work schedules to meet time standards and efficiency goals.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure work environment.
  • Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
  • Lead by example and promote a culture of quality and excellence throughout the team.

Requirements

To succeed as an Operations Supervisor, you should have:

  • 1-2 years' experience in railcar repair, switching, or related field work; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Management experience: 1 year in manufacturing (preferred).

Working Conditions

This role involves working in various settings, including:

  • Surroundings with heavy moving equipment
  • All weather conditions outdoors
  • High places and confined areas
  • Regularly lifting up to 50 pounds or more
  • Use of respirator as required
  • Minimal travel upon request

Managers must complete pre-employment background checks, drug tests, and physicals upon hire.
