Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Switchman to join our team in Altoona, PA. As a Switchman, you will be responsible for operating locomotives and transporting railcars according to a switch list. This is a rewarding opportunity for those who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and taking pride in their work.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating locomotives to transport material and spot rail cars utilizing instructions from a switch list
  • Maintaining area in a neat and orderly manner and reporting work hazards
  • Working effectively and efficiently both as a member of a team and independently

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must possess a High School Diploma/GED or equivalent, as well as a valid driver's license. You should also be able to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision and be dependable and reliable for scheduled work shifts.
