Job Title: HSE Specialist

Walsh Group is seeking a highly skilled HSE Specialist to join our team in the Greater Los Angeles Area.

Job Summary

The HSE Specialist will be responsible for coordinating, implementing, and monitoring all aspects of health, safety, and environmental processes at various project locations. This role requires a strong understanding of EHS regulations and protocols, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive EHS assessments and recommend corrective measures to project management.
  • Provide training and education to Company personnel on EHS requirements and recommend advancements to materials.
  • Assist project management in coordinating subcontractor EHS protocols and vendor personnel working on company projects.
  • Conduct accident investigations and complete incident reporting for Project Management review.
  • Establish hospital and clinical care facilities for each project.
  • Administer the Company's Drug-Free Workplace Policy and ensure proper testing.
  • Facilitate orientation of all project employees to EHS practices required by the Company.
  • Provide a weekly safety update to EHS Leadership.
  • Administer the corporate SPAT process on assigned projects.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma, Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • CHST (Construction Health & Safety Technician) Certification preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in the construction safety field.
  • Required to stand, walk, sit, and climb stairs or ladders.
  • OSHA 30 hour preferred.
  • First Aid, CPR AED preferred.
  • Self-motivated.
