Job Title: Document Management Specialist/ Scanning Technician

Location: Warrenton, VA

Pay Rate: $20.00/hr. without benefits

Duration: 09-12+ months

Working Hours: 8:00 - 4:30, M-F (flexible - 8 hrs/day)

Job Description:

The ideal candidate will have experience with Adobe Acrobat and be able to work independently, communicate needs, solve problems, and meet set deadlines. They will be responsible for the physical retrieval of hardcopy files, preparing physical documentation for scanning, scanning documents on a high-speed scanner, and accurately filing name and indexing scanned documents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve hardcopy files from onsite storage location
  • Prepare physical documentation for scanning
  • Scan documents on high-speed scanner
  • Quality check scanned documents and make corrections as needed
  • Accurately file name and index scanned documents
  • Return hardcopy files to allocated shelf in onsite storage location
  • Organize destruction of reviewed documents
  • Highlight any issues to local contact and home office operations team

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to sit for extended periods
  • Ability to reach above and below shoulder height, kneel/squat/bend at the waist to retrieve files
  • Ability to use basic office and scanning equipment
  • Ability to respond to requests for information
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to follow oral and written directions
  • Ability to comply with records retention guidelines
  • Ability to use automated systems to enter and retrieve information

Working Environment:

The candidate will be working in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of documents to be scanned and processed. They will be required to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
