Senior Configuration Management Specialist

The Lone Wolf Team at Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Senior Configuration Management Specialist to support the Distributed Continuity Integrated Network - Top Secret Enterprise Services (DCIN-TS ES).

The DCIN-TS ES is a DoD provided, TS/SCI, integrated voice, video, and data, global communications network that facilitates collaboration among senior leaders and key staff.

The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work as a critical member of a team in pursuit of mission objectives and in support of our customers.

We value candidates who are detail-oriented and able to think and react quickly to emerging and unique problem sets.

To be successful in this role, you'll be able to rapidly adapt and learn how to operate the front and back end of new products and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide weekly status reports of all ongoing configuration management activities to the customer and management.
  • Stay current on configuration management processes to provide input for selection and identification of hardware and software configuration end items that meet customer standards.
  • Create and maintain configuration management process, best practice, and policy documents to ensure configuration management rigor and to improve efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain configuration management tools and support configuration identification, control, reporting, release, and delivery of products and systems.
  • Perform configuration management and releasing engineering tasks to ensure new product operating parameters are documented, comply with standards, and are logistically sustainable.
  • Design, develop, automate, and maintain configuration management productivity tools.
  • Develop and maintain system configuration management processes, procedures, and documentation in support of customer requirements.
  • Create, maintain, and update processes and procedures to support the software build process.
  • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance business performance and deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet customer and changing business needs.
  • Create standard operating procedures related to IT workflows.
  • Comply with all customer policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate, record, and document activities of the Configuration Control Board.
  • Implement, manage, and maintain the customer's configuration management database.
  • Maintain configuration records for all program sites, hardware, and software.

Requirements:

  • Must have active Top-Secret clearance with SCI or the ability to acquire Top Secret/SCI.
  • 10 years of related experience. Experience with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and SharePoint.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%.

Clearance Required: TS/SCI

Minimum Years of Experience: 10

Preferred:

  • Certification in at least one of the following: Oracle Procedural Language Extension Structured Query Language (PL/SQL), Oracle WebLogic, Linux Professional Institute Certification -2, CompTIA Linux, or Red Hat Linux.
  • Proven experience in recommending solutions that improve customer satisfaction and/or the mission of the customer.
  • Experience utilizing Service Now.
  • Configuration Management Certified.
