Speech Therapist - Virtual Education Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Therapist to join our virtual team as a Virtual Education Specialist. This is a unique opportunity to work with students and make a meaningful difference in their lives.

About the Role:

  • This 1099 position offers guaranteed weekly hours and a competitive hourly rate of $42+ per hour.
  • The role involves providing virtual speech and language services to students, collaborating with educators, parents, and professionals to develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and delivering personalized therapy sessions.
  • The ideal candidate will have a Master's or Doctorate degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Oklahoma Teaching Certification, and Oklahoma SLP license.
  • At least 2 years of experience working with students with communication disorders is required, with experience providing virtual therapy services being a plus.
  • A strong background in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in students.
  • Develop and implement IEPs tailored to each student's needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to students individually or in small groups.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support students' communication needs.
  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
  • Conduct screenings to identify students needing further evaluation.
  • Train and provide resources to teachers and staff on speech and language development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss students' progress and create comprehensive educational plans.
  • Maintain accurate records of assessments, therapy sessions, and progress reports.
  • Stay current with research and developments in speech-language pathology.
  • Advocate for students' communication needs to ensure appropriate services and accommodations.
