Job Overview

The Medical Logistics Specialist is a critical role within the U.S. Army, responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of medical supplies. This position requires a strong understanding of inventory management, financial procedures, and quality control.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inventory Management: Perform daily inventory checks, record stock levels, and maintain accurate records of medical supplies.
  • Supply Chain Coordination: Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of medical supplies, and manage the storage and issuance of these supplies.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on medical supplies to ensure they meet Army standards.
Training and Development:

As a Medical Logistics Specialist, you will undergo comprehensive training that includes:

  • Basic Combat Training: 10 weeks of training that covers the fundamentals of Army procedures and protocols.
  • Advanced Individual Training: 6 weeks of specialized training that focuses on medical logistics, including stock control, accounting, and quality control procedures.
Requirements:
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work accurately and efficiently, and a strong attention to detail.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies, and work in a fast-paced environment.
