Job Description

Passion for Life, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Internal Communications Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for creating and implementing enterprise-wide and audience-specific communications that align with our growth strategy, ambition, and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and implement communications plans that drive engagement and awareness across the organization
  • Develop and maintain Passion for Life's intranet, ensuring it is a valuable resource for employees
  • Provide communications counsel to Passion for Life team leaders and key stakeholders
  • Recommend and implement new and innovative communication methods to enhance internal communications
  • Actively contribute fresh, outside-in thinking to ways we build awareness and understanding of Passion for Life organizational information
  • Improve volunteer connectivity and engagement
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 3-5 years experience in one or more of the following areas; managing/writing at an agency or in a corporate/nonprofit environment, content development, public relations
  • Proficient in Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, etc.)
  • Copy writing and content management experience
  • Leading, collaborating with, and managing a team
  • Self-starter willing to take initiative and own projects
  • Demonstrates effectiveness in meetings and task forces
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization (both internal and external)
  • Excellent storytelling, written and verbal communication skills
  • Effective project management and time management skills are critical
  • Ensure fulfillment of the mission of the organization
Preferred Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, PR, Communications, or related field
  • Experience in content marketing for a non-profit organization
  • Knowledge of web design
Additional Information:

Estimated time commitment: 5-10 hours/week depending on needs, including monthly meetings, weekly conference calls, and other tasks as needed. The ideal candidate will be willing to meet the required time commitments and communicate openly and honestly about the scope of work.
