POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Customer Quality Engineer position is vital within Allegro's Quality organization. This role serves as the primary liaison for customer product quality issues and claims related to customer accounts. You will lead problem-solving teams to ensure effective resolution, utilizing quality tools such as Ishikawa diagrams and the 5-Why methodology in customer reporting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Engage regularly with customer supplier quality engineers to advocate for Allegro's quality engineering in the automotive OEM sector.
  • Clearly articulate product quality issues to stakeholders.
  • Lead teams in problem-solving initiatives and promote the application of quality tools.
  • Coordinate comprehensive root cause analyses for complex challenges.
  • Assist in defining corrective actions for a diverse array of product failure modes.
  • Prepare detailed customer reports and 8D corrective action reports to provide clear explanations of root causes and corrective measures to Allegro's clients.
  • Support customer visits or audits of Allegro's facilities, products, or processes.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • A bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience, preferably within the semiconductor industry.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Public speaking capabilities are required.
  • Experience with automotive quality standards is necessary.
  • Proficient in problem-solving and quality methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Ishikawa).
  • Trained in AIAG Core tools.
  • Expertise in core Quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, and PDCA.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
