About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Mechanical Engineering Directorate, you will be responsible for designing and developing complex interconnect solutions for various platforms, including above and below sea combatant platforms, mobile and stationary ground platforms, and missile systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop interconnect solutions using CREO and other engineering tools
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate interconnect systems into various platforms
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including schematics, diagrams, and drawings
  • Work with suppliers to source and procure interconnect components
  • Lead small teams of engineers to develop and implement interconnect solutions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in interconnect design and development
  • Experience with CREO and other engineering tools
  • Strong understanding of military and commercial codes and standards for cabling and interconnects
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of major suppliers for interconnection components
  • Hands-on experience with interconnect manufacturing and field troubleshooting
  • Development and review of schematic diagrams, interconnection diagrams, and associated component control drawings
