About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Support Specialist to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Medical Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors and the quality of our plasma collection process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
  • Manage donor adverse events and review laboratory test results to ensure the quality of our plasma collection process.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our donors and ensure a positive experience at our plasma collection centers.
  • Work collaboratively with our medical team to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on the latest medical and technical advancements in the field.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned: EMT-Paramedic.
  • Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
  • Fulfill state requirements (in state of licensure) for basic IV therapy.
  • Satisfactorily complete the FDA approved training requirements for BioLife Medical Support Specialist.
  • Two years in a clinical or hospital setting.
